In 2001, I purchased our very first Australian Shepherd as a college graduation gift for my husband–he had experience with the breed growing up and always wanted another one.
We went together as a family to pick her out. The family we purchased her from only had a few left and they were not registered or health tested. My husband picked the runt of the litter, a beautiful black bi that was hiding under the porch. We finally got her out from under the porch and we happily took her home and named her Delilah.
And so started our journey into the world of Australian Shepherds. Since that very first moment, the breed has never left our side and it never will.
